Attacking fleing ships in miriani?

Hi,
Just have a quick question about miriani, sorry if it's stupid. Is there some way to chase a ship? Keep moving tuords it and at the same time keeping your guns locked on it so you won't have to check all the time?

one thing you could do though depending on the ship you had and if you had slip on it or whatever is like meet it at a certain set of coords if you knew for sure he would be there when you got there.

subwarp allows you to like instantly go to any set of coordinants in a sector.
Slip allows your ship to go instantaneously in one given direction. So let's say you're at 4, 4, 4. And you slip east, you'll be at 20, 4 4. Or you will be at the thing closest to you if it is blocking that direction.

No, slip moves you as far in the direction as you can go without leaving the sector.
